The help I am looking for is "how to unlock my system" because I did not made a backup for a while and I have data that I do not want to lose otherwise I know installing a fresh Windows 10 version is always an option so please think beyond this. Is there a page or something that they can login and enter the Key ID to get the Recovery Key related to that ID? if so, could you please point me to the correct place." This is a company Windows installation and our admin cannot find this Key ID string in our company registed account! The registery of our company still shows the Key ID 1 and not Key ID 2!That is why I asked how I our admin can produce a Recovery Key for Key ID 2. Someone suggested that I can find the Recovery Key by logging in into my MS account. Therefore, the Recovery Key I have does not work since it does not match the Key ID 2!

When I tried to enter my Recovery Key I noticed that my Key ID has changed hence this is Key ID 2. Then I disabled my bitlocker system and afterwards reactivated it again.īy doing so, the system locked me out the blue page where it shows the Key ID and asks the user to enter the Recovery Key. I had the Recovery Key which was related to the Key ID 1. I had the bitlocker system active on my Widnows 10 system which had a Bitlocker Recovery Key ID lets call it Key ID 1 from now on.
